Hubie has worked with many people in his career as a hitting instructor. The players and coaches that Mike have worked with have seen first hand that his Hubie Magic system works and here's what they had to say. [Player Endorsements]

Hi Mike,

After reading your books/manual, I went out to the feild today to try out Hubie Magic. At first I was doing it basically no stride and I hit two over the fence, I was on the fastpitch field 200 ft. I'm still getting in shape and have alot of weight to lose as well getting back into over-all shape. Yet I felt the results immediately. I didn't over rotate one time, rotation that never ends, and along with that shoulder and arm rotation that never ends.

I felt like I was using the hips like a ML hitter for the first time. I then imitated Ordonez's approach, gets the weight back early and has a soft load and took a stride and hit to balls (air plane shots) over left field. Usually pulling the ball doesn't feel natural to me, but both those hits felt natural. I did this twice in a row. The stride felt like the most natural stride I've ever taken.

I've went to the ball park many times to try things out, and I never achieved the results I was looking for in the swing.

Although, this worked and the better I did it the more natural it felt...I got results the first time out.

I can talk about many things I can talk about, but I just wanted to give you this short report. Thanks. - Shawn Bell 9 (Summer 2008)

My son, Chet Turnbeaugh, is 16 years old. When he was 13 he played for you in the White Sox prospect games. At that time Chet was hitting down, chopping wood and flying his hips open. In the two days or so that you had him you worked with him and really impressed him. The first thing we had to do was buy Ted Williams book on hitting. We live in Indiana so we had to find someone closer that could continue what you started, only not exactly, and I know that makes a huge difference. Chet is always on your website.

Anyway, he has become a power hitter and hitting well. Last year as a freshman he played JV and won the award for the highest on base percentage. This year he is playing Varsity. This is where my problem starts. They have a so-called hitting instructor who is a father of a former player that graduated in 2002 and this guy’s only credentials to being a hitting instructor is that he coached “little league”. Chet tried to talk to him early in March before the season started to let him know he takes lessons and his style of hitting is different than what this guy is doing. That worked for 24 hours. Now they are beating their way of hitting into him by humiliating him and making him swing with him after practice for another hour and work with the Griffey swing trainer which they keep angled down so they chop down at the ball.

The problem, Mike, is that they teach the kids to “squish the bug”, load and fly the hips open and hit down. These are all of the things that Chet has worked so hard to correct in his swing. Needless to say, they have him so messed up that now his swing is a combination swing and he is obviously seeing no success. He has gone from a power hitter batting number # 4 all through the spring, summer and fall last year to sitting the bench or batting # 9. They have really messed up his swing and his head. Last night he got a chance to hit and he hit a sac fly to right for an RBI and then he hit a 2 run home run.

This is so frustrating that Chet wants to quit baseball. He has been to a lot of showcases and college programs and he always gets high marks on his swing and hitting. I was wondering if you had any suggestions on how we should handle this. It is very difficult with coaches but they are ruining a good player. I know you have coached and have worked with a lot of different coaches. What would you advise Chet to do? He said if he hits their way he won’t have any success and it will hurt him as he goes to showcases trying to get to college ball. He is miserable and my husband wants to discuss it with them, but this guy believes this is the only way to hit and that he knows everything. The head coach really knows nothing about it and leaves it all up to this guy, who volunteers. I would really appreciate your thoughts if you are willing to share them.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read this long e-mail. We are really stuck in a terrible situation. Chet lives for baseball and playing Varsity this year was his dream now it is becoming his nightmare. Thanks, Hubie, I appreciate your time and help. - Sandy Turnbeaugh

"Before training with Hubie I hit .270 and no homeruns my junior year at Buffalo Grove High School, Il. My senior year I hit .510 with 9 homers and set a school record for most RBI's ( 59). Our team went down state for the first time in the school's history and I was named to the all-state team." - Ryan O Gara

"I trained with Hubie during the winter. I hit .350 with one homerun my sophmore year. My junior year I hit .356 with 6 homeruns, led the varsity team in doubles and had an on base percentage over .500." - Kyle Gaedale, Rolling Meadow HS

"I got Hubie to train my travel team in Barrington, Il. We were a .500 ball club and averaged 4-5 hits per game and 5-6 runs per game. Most of our kids were being trained by professional hitting instructors with little results. After working with Hubie during the season we quickly saw results. After the first practice we had 13 hits and 2 homers in our first game, and after the third practice with Hubie we had 27 hits and 21 runs in the next game. My son went from a .300 hitter to batting .667 after doing the drills. We went form an average travel team to a final 4 team in our league tournament all in one and a half weeks training with Hubie!" - Bob Jones, Barrington Travel

"I have received a good number of e-mails requesting information on batting coaches that teach sound rotational principles in their area. In response, I have asked our webmaster to develop a page where coaches that teach our system can give their name, contact information and a brief statement on their batting philosophy."

"Yesterday, I spent a good portion of an hour with Mike Huber discussing swing mechanics and batting philosophies. Mike is an instructor at the Chicago White Sox Training Center. He informed me that although rotational principles have met much resistance, it is finally taking roots with many coaches at the professional level.

Mike said that he was highly impressed with the improved power to the opposite field his hitters were displaying with rotational mechanics. This tells me that he must be teaching efficient transfer mechanics that generate bat speed early in the swing. He will be on our list of recommended coaches when the page is brought online. For now, those of you that live in the Chicago area, you can contact him at his website - www.hubiemagic.com." - Jack Mankin (www.Batspeed.com)

"From the second Coach Hubie arrived on campus he preached about hitting for a high average and driving the ball to all fields with power. Obviously, we all wanted this to happen but no one was sure if we could really improve that much. Well the results are in, our team mashed throughout the year as we led the nation in hitting for a 2 week stint during one part of the season. Hubie showed that when good hitters do his drills and practice what he preaches, YOU WILL HIT like you never have before!! I never could have imagined that a Junior College team could have a team batting average of over .350, and slug over .600!! Coach Hubie not only improved our swings at Oakton but also taught us a lot of what you must do mentally to be successful in baseball!!"

Good Day Baseball Fans,

My name is Matt LaBuda and I am currently the JV Baseball Coach at Bradford High School in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Hubie magic is truly magical! The majority of the boys bought into the philosophy whole heartedly. Kids that were struggling at the plate the last couple of seasons saw their batting averages jump 20, 30, 50, 100 points! My team hit .325 last year and this season with an intense concentration on the Hubie Magic drills and philosophy the team ended up hitting .363!!!

Mike "Hubie" Huber has linked into one of the secrets of baseball that many people are too blind or stubborn to realize. To be successful at this kids game called baseball why try to reinvent or tell players how to hit. But instead, Mike has spent countless hours studying arguably the most successful hitter of all time, Ted Williams. Mike is teaching a ! proven successful hitting strategy of a ! proven successful Major League Baseball player. If you can make your team buy into the strategy the results will come rapidly and success won't be far behind.

The drills that Mike uses and teaches are fun, challenging at first, but rewarding in the end. My players learned to love hitting and more importantly felt success which resulted in them not only liking baseball but loving this great game. I know that next season and for seasons to come I will continue to teach and refine the Hubie Magic hitting approach to all of the teams that I coach and programs that I lead.

I thank you and the team thanks you. I look forward to working with Mike again next season.

Yours truly in Baseball,
Matt LaBuda, Bradford Baseball, Kenosha, Wisconsin. Spring 2004

"Before I started working with Hubie....I had gone to many camps. Some seemed to work OK, but I never got the results I was looking for. "Swing down on the ball"!!! Thats what they used to tell me...Then I was fortunate enough to train with Hubie and within one lesson my baseball career reached a turning point...Hubie taught me the keys to hitting and the results were instant...I felt my muscles on the backside being trained to their maximum potential...After one lesson....what were usually slow ground balls or lazy pop ups soon became blazing line drives into the outfield. Most of all....outside of the new power and never new I had, I gained a new level of confidence...and that was HUGE!" Thanks Hubie! - Bob K. - St. Charles North HS 2004

""I met Hubie three years ago, one year after I was convinced I was out of baseball for good. After playing college baseball, I coached two years at the high school level. My teams were good defensively, but they lacked the offensive fire power to win the majority of our games. I just taught my kids what I was taught--make contact by swinging down on the ball. Disappointed at the results of my own playing career and my coaching record, baseball soon became a distant memory.

However, after learning Hubie's approach, I became involved in baseball once again. I have been currently playing in adult hard ball leagues the past two summers, and I have been hitting at a level I was never capable of when I was 18-22. More importantly, I started teaching the Hubiemagic approach to kids, and was amazed at the results! Its incredible how being able to hit a baseball can really change a kids life--they begin to exude more confidence, which in turn leads into a better performance in school, more positive risk taking, and a decrease in social anxiety. Ulitimately, as a teacher, I know how important these results are for adolescents.

The resent performance at Foreman High School, where I was the hitting instructor this past year, speaks for itself. The Varsity team knocked off powerhouse Lane Tech and advanced to the city semi-final game. In the process, the Foreman team set numerous offensive records. In particular, power production increased dramatically, as did the walk total (not to mention the fact that the strikeout total decreased in the process).

This is a critical example of how the Hubiemagic approach works. Many coaches associate an increase in power numbers with! an increase in strikeouts. However, this is not the case for the Hubie approach. Power numbers will increase, as does the ability for the player to make consistent contact." - Coach Andrew Pohl - Foreman High School (Spring 2004)

"As a switch hitter I was never a homerun hitter. I hit no more than four homeruns in one season prior to working with Hubie. I now feel that I can hit the ball for more power from both sides of the plate. Also, I have never hit above .270 in a wodden bat league and I finished at .293 with the Channel Cats. I consistently hit the ball on the sweet part of the bat and the swing feels effortless. I hope to get a chance to prove myself again in professional ball." - Ray Goirigolzarri (University of Maine); Home Run Champion of the Northwoods League

"Last year at Lewis University, our league went to wooden bats and I hit four homeruns. The swing feels natural and effortless and it helped me hit 10 homeruns in the Northwoods League. Right now at Lewis, I have already hit eight in 30 games. I'm on pace to hit 12 or 13 this year. My coaches are already talking about which pro team is likely to draft me." - Jeff Johnson (Lewis University); Third in Homeruns in the Northwoods League

"Obviously, Mike's training system has made a big difference with our program. We have produced significant results in almost every category you can imagine when it comes to hitting. I would really like to concentrate my comments on Mike's mental approach. He shows a real enthusiasm and belief for what he is doing and it's apparent that his students feed off of that. Confidence and a joy for the game are keys for sucess in anything you do, and Mike combines that type of attitude with his training program to get the results he's looking for." - Len Asquini - Illinois State Coach of the Year (1999); St. Charles High School
